InSite Location Module
The Location Module performs source location of picked phase data, calculates automatic source parameters and provides 3-D visualisation.
- Application of location algorithms using a homogeneous velocity structure with Isotropy or transverse-isotropy.
- Automatic source parameters such as magnitude etc can be calculated along with 3D location error-ellipsoids.
- Relative location functions provide locations relative to a pre-defined master event for analysing clusters
- The ‘Location Visualiser’ displays the event locations in a 3D scene. The user can rotate, pan, magnify and fly through the scene.
- ‘Hot planes’ can be inserted to analyse lineations (fractures). Boreholes and 3D objects (tunnels/surfaces) can be imported.
- A playback mode shows the time-dependency of events. Objects have time dependency to visualise site evolution.
- A cluster collapsing algorithm enables potential structures (e.g. faults) to be defined and visualised.
