ASC at Canada-US Rock Mechanics Symposium

21ASC was present at the 1st Canada-U.S. Rock Mechanics Symposium. The symposium was held in Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada) between the 27 and 31 of May 2007. ASC's products and services were presented at the Trade Exhibition.

A scientific paper presenting results from ASC’s joint research projects with Itasca was presented within the technical programme of the symposium:
• Reyes-Montes, J.M. Pettitt, W.S. and R.P. Young, Validation of a Synthetic Rock Mass model using excavation induced seismicity.

The technical programme included a series of oral and poster presentations covering the following subjects:
• Rock mechanics fundamentals and new technologies.
• Rock slope hazzards.
• Mining and tunnelling.
• Petroleum geomechanics.
