CSEG Microseismic Workshop
ASC presented a communication at the Microseismic Workshop organized by the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (CSEG) held in Calgary, Alberta (Canada) between the 13th and 15th of October 2009.
The communication entitled
“Enhancement of fracture network imaging from microseismic monitoring of hydraulic fracturing treatments”
, was presented on the session dedicated to fracture interpretation. The poster presented an alternative approach to interpret the nature and geometry of the induced or mobilized fracture network, with the objective of enhancing the information from MS clusters processed using standard triggering and location techniques, and using this information as feedback for relative location algorithms to increase the number of located events from the seismic record.
The workshop topics included:
• Event Uncertainty
• Integration with Surface Seismic
• Geomechanics
• Processing
• Interpretation
• The “Value-Add” Proposition
