Sensor Array Design and Deployment
We provide a comprehensive range of services to design and deploy sensor packages during a monitoring project.
Each monitoring project is unique and requires the careful design of sensor array layouts and specifications.
ASC uses its research, engineering and consulting experience, combined with innovative uncertainty-modelling and sensitivity analysis software, to help design sensor package positions.
We develop innovative laboratory transducer systems for performing acoustic emission and ultrasonic surveying.
We develop and supply installation systems for getting sensors deployed efficiently and accurately around engineered facilities.
Where necessary, we provide the management of third-party vendors and then fully integrate sensor packages with our state-of-the-art acquisition hardware and processing software.
Micro-Velocity Probe(MVP)
An ultrasonic borehole velocity logger for short boreholes in mines and engineered structures.
Consists of one transmitter and two receivers, transverse to the borehole axis, for measuring interval velocities along the rock or concrete borehole wall.
Data-acquisition electronics mounted down-hole with 12-bit, 10MHz data sampling and independent pulsing electronics.
Device control and data communications through a USB interface with a PC.
Transducer clamping to enable borehole coupling, applicable to a range of borehole diameters.
Variable transmitter-receiver spacing between 10 and 30cm in a rugged steel sonde.
